This video will explain how we plumbed for our kenmore 370 water softner and our water filter system in our garage. Our house did not come with a pre plumbed system and a drain for the softner was not easily accessible therefore our plumbing had to be done by scratch. We had a hard time finding any videos to help us therefore we wanted to share with you what we chose to do. Hope this helps! WARNING: The softened spigot water we installed is not the same as the brine drain water. You can sparingly use the cold softened water from the spigot on cars etc, as the sodium level is very low; YOU CANNOT drain your softner back wash brine water outside as it will kill off ANY plants, etc (grass included) that it comes in contact with. You MUST install an in wall drain or direct your drain tube into a existing drain tub, or floor drain.
